How often we are guilty of taking things for granted. That we feel that we have nothing to worry about. We do not need to fear. But it is amazing how fast things can change. And they can change very quickly indeed. I saw on the news the other night how that a nearby city was struck with a storm at midnight that did a lot of damage. Houses were torn apart and it all happened in a matter of minutes. The next thing people knew was that they were standing in the middle of a mess. To see the look on their faces as they spoke to the news reporter said it all. They did not know it was coming. They were not prepared. They were caught out and it hurt them a lot.
When you think about it, life is a lot like this. It can all change very quickly and fast. You start out as a child and before you know it you are old and sitting in a chair at a nursing home. Things can change and they can change without you being ready for it. And while we cannot have any say over nature but we can read the signs of what is happening out there and being prepared for it. On a deeper level is the challenge that we are ready for the return of the Master. And we are also told that we need to be ready for it, for it will happen at a time when we are not expecting it. Now that is a challenge that we need to consider very carefully, do you not agree?
