It is amazing how you can find a lesson in the simple things that you see around you. You may remember that last week I spoke about a game that my wife and I watch on T.V. each week. It is an interesting program and we like it very much. During this week they began what they call a finals series and it has been very entertaining to watch. And in the process I have learned a good lesson to remember. It began with two people going up against each other. And while we thought that one was the better player it began with the other getting a good head start. But it was interesting as to how the one that we were backing for began to catch up and then in the end took out the heat. I guess it could be said that by keeping the eye upon the prize and putting in his best effort that he was able to come out on top.
To each of us today I believe that there is a lesson that we would do well to learn. That being that we are able to keep the eye upon the prize. What is it that you are wanting to achieve? What are you aiming to do with your life? Do you have a goal in life? Are you doing all that you can do to make it all happen? How important it is that we all keep the eye upon the prize that we put in front of us and to not look to another. And for us each one the greatest prize that we could ever reach for is to be ready for our maker, when He comes in the clouds of glory. Now that is something that is worth holding on for.
