It has been an interesting time that we are living in. As you can appreciate, we are all grounded at this moment and there is little that we can do about it. And because of all of this I have been a little slack in the cleaning of the car. Normally it is something that I would do on a Friday morning. But because of what has been happening I have allowed it to slip a little until today. Even though the car was still rather clean I thought that it could not go on any longer. And so today was the day when I would give the car a clean. And even though there was nowhere to take it, I still felt that it was a job well done. That the car was looking good and that gave me a lot of pleasure.
In thinking about what I did this morning I stopped and thought about the bigger picture of life. How often we think that all things are going well but fail to appreciate that we also need to have a clean-up in our own lives. Maybe a clean-up in the way we treat others. Maybe a clean-up in the way we behave. Maybe a clean-up in the way that we speak. There are so many things that we all can ignore and think that no one sees and knows and cares about. But in that quiet moment there comes a time when we know that we need to have a clean-up and it cannot be avoided any longer. And when that time comes your way–what are you going to do about it? Are you going to ignore the fact that you need a clean-up or are you going to do something about it?
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
