Do you have something in your life that is special to you? And how special is that object to you? You may be wondering as to why I am asking this question. There is a reason for it and the reason is this. We have a cat with a mission in life. This cat has a rah-rah rug that he will not let go of. For him, it is his special friend and he loves it very much. It is an interesting sight to see the cat dragging this sheet around the place. And I must admit that sometimes it can be quite annoying as well. Because the last thing that anyone needs is that you get out of bed in the middle of the night to go to the "other room" and you trip over this thing that is left in the middle of the passage way. It does not do wonders for anyone or their patience.
But as we face this reality of this cat and his rah-rah rug I cannot help but wonder as to how faithful we are with the things that matter to us. Are we as careful as this cat? As a Christian I wonder as to whether I am as faithful in reading the Bible as this cat is faithful to the sheet that he has become attached to. It is something to ponder. And in many ways it is a challenge for how we all need to decide as to what is important to us each one day by day. So today I would ask the question as to what is important to you and how faithful are to that thing or person?
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
