I have been watching the news and what has been happening is not a good look. When you watch the news and you hear of a train going off the rails it is not the best. It makes you appreciate the fact that life is a very unsure thing at times. In talking with a family member they made mention of the fact that they were on the train a few weeks ago. It made them appreciate anew the fact that life can be a very unsure thing. You can never be sure of what life can hold for the future. And as we look at the mess that the trains are in it makes you appreciate the fact that it does not take much for a train to get into a mess. How we all need to be careful with the things that are around us. Whether it be a car of a train they can easily crumble and fall apart.
But in looking at all of this there is a greater lesson that we need to appreciate. That while we may not know what lies ahead we do have the hope of knowing as to who holds the future. Not only does He hold the future in His hands, He is also willing to hold you in His hand too, if you are only willing for Him to do this for you. And it is here on this point that we have a question to answer. Are you willing to know the One who is control of the future? Are you willing to know that He is looking after you each and every day? Now that is special to know and to appreciate.
