The chapter is ended
But life must go on
We stand and say goodbye
To ones we knew and loved
But life must go on
We know that is true
But the chapter is ended
And so we go on.
We live in the moment
We live in the now
But the future before us
Is something we allow
To consider once and a while
But not to dwell on too much
We will wait for the chapter
We'll deal with it then.
So come sit with me
We look out and see
And behold, the One who made us
For He is the future and King
With this chapter now ended
We'll look up and see
And hold to the one
Who alone holds the key.
