Large and tall
They look so grand
Against the backdrop of the sky
And yet we take
Them all for granted
The wonders of a tree.
Shelter against the rain
A place to feel safe within
What wonders they perform
To all who come its way
And yet it stands so strong
Giving shade to weary souls.
But now the tree is old
Its journey is at an end
For time is running out
For like us, its days are numbered too
So thank you Lord, for the trees we see
And may we give you praise for all.
