It all begins with a crawl And from a crawl you take a stand On feet that are not so firm And on legs that still do wobble.
But stop and think You are now standing And from this moment we take a step And follow on, with another step again.
Yes, you have arrived You have taken a step And as you join them all together You then begin to walk.
It is all a process And it takes one step at a time But if you are faithful That you will walk in the end.
So take heart, my child Do not give in But practise each day Till the steps become a walk.
