Every year
We stop and pause
To remember those
Who gave of their all
For they were so young
With hopes so high
But never did they know
They would never return.
Never return
They would never return
Loved ones never see
Children never hold
But buried alone
In graves unknown
They now rest in peace
Their work now done.
And so we remember
Those brave men so tall
Who gave of their all
For you and for me
But today may we remember
That One on the tree
For He too gave His all
For you and for me.
