Upward and climbing
To reach the top we press
Never content, never despairing
For that top we must reach
And as we take
Each weary step
The mountain top we reach
And gazing out upon the view
What joy is now our own.
Looking out upon that view
Brings home to mind the joy
That what was done
Was worth the while
We must give praise on high
But remember now the mountain
That He, Our Friend, did climb
How on that tree He gave it all
Gave all for you and me.
