I guess that there are times in one's life when you know that you are seeing an important event take place. And that event can be anything that you see as being important. It could be something as simple as a school concert or an event of greater note. It could be that of seeing a new plane in the sky that is new. I remember seeing the new concord when it flew out to Australia and I believe that it flew out only the once.
But what am I getting at there? Today marks the end of the Holden motor car being built here in Australia. It has been a good car over the years and now it has come to an end. It is a very sad day and yet we know that life must go on. It just means that we will be getting used to the idea of other cars to buy. But for buying cars made here in Australia it is the end of the road.
So what is the point here? As we go through life there can be many ends of the road. Whether it be people that we know dying or that we are changing jobs or whatever, the point is that nothing stays the same forever. And this reminds me of another point. That for this planet there will be one day, an end of the road. And that will take place when Jesus comes in the clouds of glory. A question for us all to consider. Will we be ready for that end of the road moment? Only you can answer that for yourself.
