It was just yesterday that I had a moment when I knew that times were changing and that time does not stand still for anyone. I was in Ringwood, a place where I lived for two years and I took the time to look at a shopping centre that I knew way back then. The shopping centre is now about five times bigger than when I last saw it. It was very amazing and nothing how I remembered it all those years ago. And in seeing the way the centre was laid out and the standard of finish I could not help but wonder if I was in the right place. But yes, I knew that I was at the right place. I knew the area too well to be confused.
As I took in what I saw I was reminded of the old fact that time does not stand still for anyone. It had been about 22 years ago since I was there last. And what was so amazing was that not only was the centre larger and changed, but the whole area and streets surrounding the centre had been updated as well. How true it is that time does not stand still.
But there is one thing that does not change and that being the love of Jesus towards us each one. The love that Jesus has for you is there every morning and that it will be there for the whole day. So while the times are changing and nothing seems to be the same, yet there is one thing that is always the same. The love of God towards you. What wonderful news that is for the person who is struggling to go through each day. Hang in there for Jesus. For He is hanging in there….for you, and will never let go of your hand.
