For us down in this part of the world we are now entering what we call Spring. And what a lovely time of the year it is too. The birds are singing so much more and everywhere is looking green. A few days ago I was travelling to another part of the state, down by the coast and I was taken in by what I saw along the way. The animals looked so good and there was plenty of feed in the paddock. Everywhere you looked the country was looking its best.
And as the seasons change it is interesting to note how the land changes with it. You know by what you see what season you are in. When it is winter the land can look bleak but with the arrival of spring, what a difference this can make. And because of that difference you just know that it is spring.
And yet as I consider all of this I feel that there is a lesson that we can learn from this. We are all good at telling the seasons of the year, but how well do we know the seasons of the times in which we live. It is interesting to note that with all that we are experiencing, you may wonder at times if there is something that we should be looking for. After all there are the signs that tell us when spring is near. So as we look around us and we see things are changing, are these things trying to tell us something today?? For an answer you may wish to take a peep at Matthew 24 and then consider again what you are seeing around you.
