I guess reading that heading you may wonder as to what is coming in this story. Really, it is more than a story. Rather I am dealing with an interesting experience that we have been going through the last couple of days. As you may know we have now got two new cats. By that we have had one about ten months and the other about eight months and they are just crossing the first year of their lives. And yes, may there be many more.
But now coming back to the heading of the parable. We have been having an interesting time of it. One of our beloved cats have been getting out of hand and we were starting to wonder as to where it was all going to end. It seemed that he was determined to always get out of hand and it was beginning to take its toll on us both. What was wrong with him? We were giving him the best of food and it was all getting a bit much. So we did some homework or more to the point, my wife did.
In doing the homework on the breed, or should I say the mixture of breeds that make up this cat, we made a discovery. That the cat liked being a part of everything and that he needed to keep his mind active. In other words what he needed was more attention being given to him. He did not like being taken for granted. It got me thinking. How many of us are like that?? We do not like to be taken for granted. We all want to be loved. We all need to be loved. So let us learn a lesson from this cat and love each other more and to not take each other for granted. And yes, to even remember to give more love back to the one who made us all…..
