Over the last few days we have been taking a walk into the bush at the back of where we live. More to the point it could be said that the drive to where we walk is about 5 km. And we have been doing this every day. In doing so it has been amazing what we see along the way. And the best part of all is the fact that it is for free.
And so there we are walking along the dirt road and it is special what we see at times. A few days ago when we were walking we saw something that reminded us of the fact that we do live in a wonderful place. As we were walking along my wife pointed up ahead and I looked to see what she was pointing at. There in the paddock was a female kangaroo and her young one. What a wonderful sight it was to see. And yet we were not able to get close to them and as were wild, there was a problem of trust. And this meant that all we could do was to look at them and love them from a distance.
As we take in the view and admire what we see, I cannot help but reflect upon the fact that there will come a day when there will be no fear in the earth made new. That we will be able to enjoy all animals and love them for what they are. That there will be no death and no end to the wonderful things that are prepared for those who love their Maker. Something to look forward to, don't you think?
