As you read this heading you may wonder as to what I am getting at here. This thought came to me as I was having to be up early to get the car into service. After dropping off the car I then made my way into the city of Ballarat. It is interesting as to how quiet a place can be at that hour of the morning. Yes, it was very quiet.
But there was one thing that I did know and that being that soon the place would be alive and that it would be humming for another day. That the people would soon be filling up the streets and that soon the place would be busy. How a place can soon change in just an hour. And yet how that applies to our lives as well. Things can change so quickly and we do not see it coming at the time.
It reminds me of the fact that we are living in a changing world and how we need to be in tune with the things around us. But more than that is the fact that we see that we need to be in tune with the one who made us each one. It does not take much for our world to be turned upside down. So what are we going to do? Perhaps more to the point is what are you going to do about it? It reminds me of the ads dealing with summer. If a bushfire came your way would you be ready? Do you have a plan? So now, if your world is turned upside down would you have a plan for that and who would you go to? And would you be willing to look up and pray to the one who alone knows all things and cares for you ever so much? Hard question to consider but how we all need to look at it sometimes.
