It was an exciting experience that I had a few days ago. And it was one that I shall remember for quite a while. It all began in an innocent way with the flying of a kite. Do you remember the last time that you flew a kite? Do you remember the fun that it gave to you?
I must admit that for both my brother-in-law and I, that we got a lot of fun with the kite and maybe even more fun than the one for whom it was intended. After a couple of goes I found that we put the thing up to the full length of the string and it did look grand way up in the sky. And being up the full length of the string there was quite a tug on the line. But then came the moment when we had to pull the kite in and it was all going well when it somehow came out of my hands. At first thought we thought that this was the end but it was not! We noticed that it may have just gone about a block away and so we got into the car to look for it. And yes we would eventually find that the string had got caught on the corner of a roof of a house. Just as we were about to get the kite with the help of a young lady and her family the string broke and then the kite came down and we would find it in the oval of a school.
So why am I telling you about this and please keep in mind that I have left out quite a bit of the story? The answer is simple. That we need to remember the simple pleasures of life and to enjoy them. You do not have to spend a lot of money to have a lot of fun. Remember that for the future when you may be tempted to spend a lot of money on something that will not last.
