Do you like to cook? Do you find it all exciting to put the different things together and to watch it all come to a finished product? It can be all very exciting when it all happens just as you wish but as we all know there has to be the preparation that goes beforehand that makes it all happen.
What am I talking about here? One does not just grab a vegetable and put it in the pot. We have to make it ready for the journey that finishes with it being in the pot. For some that can be a quick thing to do and for others it may take a little longer. But the hope is that when all is done, then in the pot they will be cooked, and the end result is what you are looking for.
So what is the point of all of this? Just as we need to prepare the veggies for cooking so we also have to prepare ourselves for what we do in life. It is called going to school and then to further education or possibly commence your career. But the greater the effort that we put in the greater the reward we shall get in the end. So as we face the week ahead and later a new year, so may we make the choice that we will put in the effort to make a wonderful finished product. And in the process may we also make the choice to know "The One" who made us and put us together in the first place.
