It seems hard to believe but it is now one year since a special member of our household was born. It was a special moment when we took in a new kitten. It all came about when our old cat Salmon passed away and we were offered a kitten by a friend who knew that we would give it a good home. And so we took him in and gave him a wonderful first year.
But having said that I must admit that it has not been without some hurts along the way. When we took in the Kitten we also took in another kitten that would be a mate to him. But sadly the other one died only after being with us for two months. And how we gave that kitten every chance to live but it was not to be. . . .
So the one that passed away was replaced with another kitten and she is doing very well. Her birthday will be in two week's time and she will be one year old then. So I am sure that you are wondering as to what we have called them. The one who is one year old this week is called Damascus and the one who will be one year old in two weeks is called Lydia. And yes, they will have many years ahead of them in this place. We love them and wish them a happy life as they scamper around the house and get up to all sorts of things.
