Now this may seem a little odd but when you hear the rest of it, then it will become plain.
It is amazing how you find out things but you do and this was the case with our cat. It all started out simple when my wife was playing with the cat and found out by accident that he liked chasing things. And not only did he like chasing things but also bringing them back. This was a shock as we did not expect to have a cat retriever. After all that is what you expect to see happen with a dog.
And so this new chapter has begun and the item of choice that he likes to chase is a marble. And so we throw the marble along the floor and we watch in amazement as the cat runs after the marble to bring it back. It is so special to watch and it makes for a special moment in time for us all. After all it is not every day that you have a cat doing this sort of thing.
So what is the lesson for us here today. It is always so easy to get caught up in the big things of life and not take a moment to enjoy the simple things. It does not sound much but it is wonderful as to what fun you can get with a cat with a marble. And the fun is all for free. Well just the cost of a marble. So let us enjoy the simple things of life. And if we are really honest about it, then we have to admit that the simple things of life are even better than the more costly things around us. Something to think about for the week.
