There I was going along the road on a Journey to a distant town. We were travelling along and it began to drizzle. In view of the fact that we had been getting some rain and were in need of more it did not bother me at all.
And so it was in this moment that I would see something that is always a joy to see. It was a rainbow. It started out as a rather dull one but as the scene developed the rainbow became even more special. And looking even further we could see the bow do the full arch. Looking over the paddocks and the green hills in the distance it made for a moment that cannot be bought with money.
But as I looked upon the scene I was reminded of something that brings hope to the soul. I was reminded of the fact that in the Bible there is a promise concerning the rainbow. After the flood the promise was given that never again would the world be totally covered with a flood. And to remind the people that this promise would not be forgotten the Lord put into the sky the wonders of the rainbow.
The point to remember is this. The promise that was made all those years ago is still valid and there for us each one.
