It may seem like a strange thing to write but there we were with water everywhere. How could that be, you may wonder?? The other day we were in a different part of the state and it was very wet. We had gone there for an important event and the last thing that we wanted was rain. But there it was. it was wet and very wet at that. What amazed me was the way that a drain that we crossed was affected so much by the rain.
Let me tell you about how the drain reacted to all the rain. When we first saw the drain the water was about 85% full to the top and when we saw that drain about three hours later there was one part that was about ready to overflow. We could not believe that it could change so quickly and so completely. But talking to a person that we knew the next day who lived in the area it was amazing as to how quickly the drain could go down.
As I consider as to what happened here I think that there is maybe a lesson for us all to learn. How many of us can have things change so quickly and it catches us unawares. And it all can come as a bit of a fright. But the interesting thing is that even though the water came and went the drain still remained the same. It did not change. What about us?? Do we change with the tide of life or do we hold onto those things that we know are true and right? Maybe something for us all to ponder. Have a great week.
