Now a heading like this one is a little different. How Good is Good?
Let me explain what I am getting at here? We all like to think that we can make things good, but how good are we? I am mindful that at the end of creation week and at the end of every day that God said that all things were good. But how good is God's good?
This point was brought home to me when I was watching a program the other day. On this program they were looking at the fastest land animal, with that being the Cheetah. The program said that this animal could do speeds up to 120 km. Now that is fast for an animal, and yes we know that a lot of cars can go faster. But now we come to the point of the matter.
And what is the matter you may ask? What we are also interested in is knowing what can get to the speed of 100km the quickest. Would it be a car or the Cheetah? The best sports cars in the world can do it in 4.2 sec but what can the Cheetah do it in? And really is it a fair question to ask? After all could an animal compare with the best sports car in the world? The answer is that the Cheetah can do it in 2.5 sec. No car has been able to match that time yet. Now that is what God's nature calls being good. Something for us all to ponder this week.
