The other day I had an experience that I am still smiling about. It was rather special and it gave me a laugh. I was on my way to see mother and I was travelling on the train. I knew that I was on the right train and that it would take me to the station at Lilydale. All was going well and we came to the station at Ringwood. There I was sitting on the train minding my own business and then it happened.
A person from the station came onto the train and started telling us that we needed to get off as the train was not going any further. I must admit that I was starting to feel a little confused. After all I was pretty sure that this train was taking me to Lilydale but of course you can never tell. But then it happened. The train started pulling out from the station and was now going to Lilydale. At that point the young lady admitted that she thought that the train that she was expecting had come a little early but had not taken the time to check and be sure of what train had just pulled in. Of course, I had to tease a little bit and she knew that she would be teased when she got back to Ringwood.
So what is the lesson we can learn from all of this. A simple one for today. That being that we need to be sure of the facts and know that what we are saying and doing is correct. How much that young lady could have avoided if she only took a few moments extra to be sure that she was sharing the right information.
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
