It is amazing how that things that you love and admire seem to change as the years go by. It would seem that with the passing of time that the ideals that you have begun to go in a different direction. Sometimes they change for the better and sometimes maybe not. But just a few moments ago I had to go down the street to get something and I saw something that caught my eye.
The thing that caught my eye was a very expensive SUV. It was European and looked very good. In fact I am sure that it would have been very good. Having read about the vehicle I knew that it would have cost a lot of money. But then I considered an equation that many people forget about. No matter how expensive or powerful the vehicle the point is that it cannot go above the legal limit. Which means that you do not get there any quicker to anyone else. And when you take all of these things into consideration then the whole exercise becomes pointless.
I am reminded how that in the Bible we are told to be content with what we have. The Bible also tells us that we need to be careful with what we spend our money on. I am also reminded that there will come a day when we will need to give an account for what we do. When you stop and think about it, it gives to us all a challenge to consider. What do you think?
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
