If you have looked at the poem then this story will be no surprise to you. For those who have not taken a look at the poem I was talking about sparrows. And what a lovely bird they are. And what joy they bring to all that see them. Around our place they are always there in the morning and I can understand why. The fact is that we are willing to feed them and they know it. And come winter they are there faithfully every morning to get their feed.
And as the time has gone by we have come to know them and the way they behave. There was one cheeky little fellow who was always a happy little thing and on a couple of times he actually came inside. But that idea all came to an end when one day he came inside and our very old cat opened one eye and spotted the sparrow fluttering. We will not talk about what happened next. But the old cat came to life very quickly.
But there is a lesson we can learn from what we saw. That these little birds are very good with getting along with each other. And the result is that you rarely see them having a squabble with each other. Maybe this is something that we could also learn as well. That we need to get along with each other. And the first step is take we take the time to get to know the one who made us all and appreciate that we are all special in his sight.
