What a day it was when we were going for a walk. Not far from where we live you can go for a walk and see nature at its best. It is always an enjoyable thing to do. On this walk we usually see things of nature that remind us that we do live in a wonderful world. But it was on this walk that I am talking about that we would see this little bird and what a bird it was.
It was so very tiny and among the green it would have been lost. But as I was looking at the green foliage I saw this bright red something and started looking in more earnest. What a beautiful little bird that I saw. As l took in the sight Ruth was coming up and I got her to stop and to look and see this bird as well. We were both taken by the sight of it, and it was hoping around with such joy.
There is a lesson for us all in this. All so often we look for the big things in life and fail to see the little things that are just as special. So take a look around where you live. it is amazing as to what you may find if you only take the time to look.
