It is amazing how that when you listen to the news that you sometimes hear things that make you stop and have a laugh. Such was the case about an hour ago when we put on the news and was told a simple statement that caused us to have a smile. It was said that something happened in a place and the comment was made that this was the type of place where you would not expect such a thing to take place.
The thought that made us smile was the question of what kind of place would you expect such a thing to take place in? Are there places in this world where things do not happen? Maybe there is! I am reminded of the time (many years ago now) when some person on the news described that weather that was approaching as being thick drizzle. Even the main presenter was trying hard not to laugh out loud. And the co-presenter was the weather person's wife. Such is life!
But there is a lesson to be learned in all of this. Be careful what you say. But I am reminded of the fact that there is a person who will never let you down. That you can trust in Him to keep His word. In fact in His word there are many promises that He makes that you can depend upon and know for sure that He will keep them. Now that is good news, don't you think!
