It all seems so simple but it is interesting to consider that someone had to come up with the idea first. What idea am l talking about? That idea being the making of roads. Consider this for a moment. There was a time when there was no roads. Yes, that is right. There was a time when there was no roads at all. So the question could be asked as to when the idea of roads came into being. The truth is that the idea came into being during the time of the Roman Empire. And at that time all roads were measured from the starting point of Rome itself. Hence the saying that all roads lead to Rome.
But now comes a question for you to consider. Where would we be if there were no roads to travel on? How would we get from place to place easily and safely? What a mess it would make of our lives if there were no roads at all? The truth is that we would be in a terrible pickle and we would feel that there is no way out, I am sure. But now for a thought for you to consider. Just as we need a road to travel on to get from place to place, then maybe we need a road to travel upon for our lives to work well and safe. What do l mean by that? The answer is very simple. When you open the Bible you have before you a road map to a better life for here and now and a wonderful future to look forward to in the future. But you would never see and appreciate it unless you take the right road. And the map for the right road can only be found as you open the Bible.
And in saying that we are now faced with a challenge. But are you willing to open the Bible? Are you willing to follow the road map that is before you there?
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
