How special it is when the seasons change and we know that the weather is starting to turn for the better. We feel so much better and look with hope to warmer days. And with the start of the warmer weather it also means that it is time to bring to the lawnmower and get onto doing the lawns every week again. I guess that with the warmer days it will mean that the grass is starting to grow that much quicker and so we have to get used to the sound of the mower doing its work more often. But how special it all is anyway.
As I said the other week it is interesting how we can tell the seasons but we sometimes do not appreciate the times in which we live. That we do not appreciate that the world is getting older and that things are only getting worse. And yet we find in the "good Book" much that tells us where we are living at this time. That we are at the end of time and that soon the end of the world will come. And come it will, whether we are ready for it or not. Yes, we can know the seasons but how much more we need to know the good news of Jesus soon return.
So what are we to learn from this? Just as we can tell the turning of the seasons how much more we need to know the signs of the coming of the biggest event this world will ever know…the coming of Jesus in the sky.
