Actually the title is a little misleading. For I am loved but sometimes it does not come across as one would hope it to be. Let me tell you about what I am getting at. As you would know we have two cats and they are very much spoilt rotten and they do not say no to that idea. But when it comes to them giving back affection then the truth is that they are choosy as to where they give their full affection. Because my wife is home a lot more than what I am, they seem to be more willing to give to her their full attention. I should remind you (and them) that I also do my fair share in giving them the cuddles that they look for and the making sure that their food is there to be given. But that does not count. Their first attention is given to Ruth and then to me.
I guess that there is a lesson here for us all to learn. And it is an interesting lesson to learn. As it is with animals so it is also with us humans. We all have favourites. We all know people that we are attracted to more than others. It is a natural part of life. But for those who miss out altogether it can become all too sad a situation to face each and every day. No one person likes to be on the outer. We all want to be a part of the action of life.
So where is the lesson for today. Take a moment to think of the needs of those around you. You do not have to do much but you can make an effort to make them feel part of the specialness of life. And for that person what a difference it could be if you would only do that. But are you willing to do that? Why not give it a try? It may just be the saving of person. It may be just the thing that they are looking for to have hope in their life. And it could all begin with you taking the time to be a friend for that person for this day.
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
