I may have told the story but I think that I may not have. It is a story about the time that I was left behind. We were at a church function and all had gone well and people were thinking of heading for home. There were a large number at the function and all had gone well. So it was time to go home. People started leaving and looking around I found that my Mum and Dad had left with my two older brothers.
Soon all could see that there was a problem. And keeping in mind that I was only about 9 or 10 years of age I guess that for all it was a worry. What would they do? Who was going to have me until Mum and Dad came back? There was a discussion happening and while this was in progress there was a car that pulled up and it was a wonderful thing to see my Mum and Dad again.
It may seem to be only a simple thing but it brings home the point that none of us like the idea of being left behind. And the point is this. We know that one day Jesus is coming again. For those who are faithful and true it will be exciting for all. For those who do not believe it will be a different story. And it will have a sad ending for them too. For those who are faithful it will be eternal life and for those who are not it will mean eternal death, with no second chance. The choice for us all to decide is whether we want to be faithful or not. Something to think about, do you not think.
Maybe something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
