There is an interesting thing that takes place every time the rain begins to fall. And I cannot help but watch with a smile on my face every time that it takes place. The first step is that the rain is falling. And then comes the second step and that being with the two cats wanting to go out and enjoy the sun. Of course with them being inside the rain is not falling upon their heads. And so I open the door and wait for the reaction. I am never disappointed!
As each cat puts their head out the door it is hit with a raindrop and it is all becomes too much. And so they back back inside the door and give a look of hurt and disappointment. It is wet and that is not good. And I have to smile as I watch them come to grips with the thought that going outside is not an option. Actually, they can go outside but who wants to be hit with a raindrop. They do not!
It makes me stop and think that maybe life is not always what we want but that we have to make changes to live with what we get. Like when we get sick or when a member of the family dies. Changes have to be made. It is not easy. But with the One above looking out for us we can know that there is help available for us each one to take hold of. We do not have to be alone.
