It is interesting how you think that you have to get somewhere but when things start falling apart you can start to take things in a much easier manner. What am I talking about? This happened just the other day. I had gone some distance to see my mother for a few hours and it meant travelling on a train and then another train and then the bus.
But travelling home we found ourselves with a problem. And that being the heat. It was hot and the trains were travelling at the slower speed because of the heat. If that was not enough we found ourselves being stuck in the middle of nowhere because the signals further along were giving trouble. And so there we sat. The good thing is that there was a person sitting opposite who had an app that told us an update on what was happening up the line.
But through it all there was one thing that we had to learn. And that being to be patient. Are you patient? As someone said there was nothing that we could do so we might as well enjoy the moment. Being on the train it was cool, in spite of what was happening outside. Yes we did get home in the end. But what we all needed was patience. May we all have patience as we face each day.
