I think that is what you would call it. Although there would be some who may think otherwise. But I am getting ahead of myself and I need to go back to the beginning. And I need to add that I am going back a long way when things were a little more primitive and simple. We had a lean too that joined onto the car and so we would sleep in that. And when we went away for the some holidays we would use that. And yes it was quite simple indeed.
But on this weekend we had gone up the mountains to an old Gold Mining town. And we were looking for a place to set up the lean too. And so we had decided on a spot that we thought would be good to use. Or should I say that Dad had decided on the spot. It was in the old school yard. Mum had thought that we should not be there, but Dad thought that all would be well. What famous words they are. How many times have you heard those words??
And so the lean too was set up and we get ourselves ready for the night. We were weary and in need of a good sleep. And there was the hope that we would be able to sleep in peace. And so the scene was set for a rude awakening that would come sometime later. And it came in the form of a voice that we heard in the middle of the night telling us that we could not stay where we were and that we were on school property. We would have to shift.
Oh what bliss! I will not tell you about us shifting camp in the middle of the night. But there is a lesson for us all to learn. How we need to do the right thing and to obey the law. And yes, that not only applies to the law of the land but also to the law of the one who made us all.
