It is interesting that when you grow up you do not appreciate so fully the land in which you live. How often we all can take it for granted and give not a thought to what is happening around us. But the days are going by and we think that all is well, but the weather is ever changing and so we fail to see the changes until it is all too late.
Down here where I live there is plenty of rain and all is looking green. But up north things are a different story and you wonder as to how much they can take. They are having very dry weather and there are also bushfires and how they all are needing the rains to come and to give them a chance to hit back. But as I take in the scene that is before me I am reminded that this is the land that we have and that there is nothing that we can do about it. And it is these special qualities that make us what we are and how we need to embrace it for what it is.
But this brings me to a question for you to ponder. What are your special qualities? Do you know what they are and have you embraced them for what they are? We all can do something. We are all special in the eyes of our Father in heaven. So let us take hold of Him and make Him our friend for this day. And that would be a special thing to do for us each one. How about you?
