Have you ever looked for something to happen and then it was all over in a couple of hours? This was the case with me just the other day. There had been a lot of planning for an event that was going to be special. And the event that I am talking about is a wedding. Weddings are so special. Do you remember your own wedding? Was it a special day for you?
And so last Friday there was a coming together of people in the church for the special moment when this couple would be wedded. It was my role to play for the event and I was there early and ready for when the people would arrive. And arrive they did. And they were just on time. I was amazed that there were not many people there much beforehand, but the place was full for when it event took place and that was so good to see.
Looking back now it all seems a long time ago and yet it is only one week. As I am writing this I am remembering that it was at this time last week that I was playing for the reception and again that all went for well for everyone. But now it is one week later and we cannot go back and do it all again. But it will be an event to remember and that it will be in our hearts for a long time to come. So what can we learn from this. That the clock of time is wound but once and that we need to enjoy each moment that we have. So take this moment that you have for this day and enjoy it to the full. Remember that you will never see this day again.
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
