I must admit that as I get older that I do enjoy the times that I travel on the train. And yesterday was no exception. The trip went well both ways and the appointment went well also. And then it was time for the trip home.
I am reminded of something that I was told from my parents about when they were growing up. It always seemed that the horse knew when it was on the way home and they would travel at a faster pace. Why? They were heading for home and to shelter. And for some reason it seems to be the same way with the train. Heading for home it gets a gallop up as if it is eager to be back at base. Maybe it is a case of me being eager to be home and it feels that way. But there are some times when between Backus Mash and home that the train opens up and it is soon going at a high speed. We are going home.
It makes me wonder. What about me? Am I eager to be going home? Am I looking forward to going home to heaven one day? The reason I ask is that one day we will all have to face the final cross roads of life and the way that we live now will determine which way we shall go. I want to be a part of the trip home to heaven. What about you?
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
