If you read the story for last week you may think that I have forgotten what has happened and that I am repeating myself. But let me assure you that this will not be the case. But the fact is that we all did get wet. And it was not the best way for it to happen. And it did not do any good for our self-respect that it did happen, but in saying this I am getting ahead in the story.
It had been a wet day and we were all going home from church. We had with us a lady that we would drop off at her home on the way. That was fine and we did not mind doing that for her. But as I said it had been wet that day and out where we were, there were dirt roads and that meant puddles. And some of the puddles were big. And this puddle was big too.
So we had arrived at her house and were letting her out of the car. The rain had stopped and just before she walked across the road to her house we were having a chat and then it all happened. Coming along the road was a huge truck and right at a spot where it could do a lot of damage was a large puddle. It was in the middle of the road. And so there we were chatting with the lady with our windows down.
Can you guess the rest??? The truck chose to go through the puddle and the water splashed all over the car and over us in the car. We all got wet and so did the lady standing beside the car as well. Looking back I guess that I could say that there is a lesson for us all. Please make sure that the windows are up in wet weather. You can stay a bit dryer that way.
