It is in recent times that my wife and I have started filming and it has been an interesting experience for us both. Sure, at this point of time we are learning the equipment but through it all we have learnt some lessons that can be applied to everyday life. The first thing that I have learnt is that it is one thing to see an object but it is another thing to look through the lens and focus and even before you do that you must first see if you can find that object.
As we went through the process it was very enjoyable while at the same time it was a learning curve. Not only were we getting used to the equipment but we also had to learn patience with all that we were doing. Along with that is the fact that the equipment does not lie. And so what we took is what will come out on the camera.
But there is one thing that we have learnt. One is that we know the equipment and what it can do. The other thing is that we have to be careful with it as well, knowing that it will only put out what we put in. In some ways it is a bit like life. We all need to be particular and to appreciate what is expected of us all. More than that is the need to focus on what we are hoping to achieve and to not be turned away with the attention of other things that really do not matter. And yes, we could also consider the real things of life that really matter. For I am reminded that all the things that we know will one day come to an end. Then what? So where is your focus? What is it that really matters to you? And is it really worthwhile?
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
