I guess the story must be told. It all began when the washing machine began to make a noise. Machines can make a noise and this one was no different It made a noise. And I wondered as to what it could be. When a machine makes a noise like this you begin to think all kinds of things and so it was with a sinking feeling that the machine was sent off to the place to be looked at.
How I wondered what it could be. Would it be something large or would it be something that was small. After waiting a few days I would receive a phone call and was told the problem. There was a sock. Yes, it was a sock and they had to remove it from the machine and after that was done the problem was dealt with.
It got me thinking a little bit of late. That it does not take much to cause a problem. In this case all that it took was a sock. And a sock is not a big thing at all. But what damage it does when it goes into an area of the machine where it is not wanted. And this brings me to another question. What about the small things in our lives? Are we taking care of them? Are we making sure that they are not causing a problem like the sock did to my washing machine? After all, if the small things are not dealt with they will become bigger and that is something that none of us want. So my question for you today is….what about the small socks in your life? Have you dealt with them? Are you dealing with them….for if they are left alone they will become a bigger problem and may cause you a lot of pain.
Something for us all to ponder at this time. Until next time may you each be kept safe in His care.
