Down in this part of the world we are getting used to the idea of summer. With the warmer days coming on I am reminded of that fact. And the plants are glad that I remember to give them the extra drink that they need to get through each day. The other day I had the job of dealing with the fronds on the tree fern. And the ones that had been there for the year were removed to make room for the new fronds that were coming out.
It was amazing to see the results of having that job done. With the space now given to the new fronds coming out, they really came on and are now starting to look their best. I know that in a few days they will be a show to see. And even in that there is a lesson for us all. That we need to take care of the things around us. It may not seem much but with the taking care of the plant's needs, we now see a plant looking its best and what a show it is going to be.
So what is the lesson for me out of this. That we encourage people to do their best. That we always look for the good and not for the bad. And with encouragement it is amazing what people can do. So let us always encourage and not pull people apart. What we all want is for people to reach their full potential and show what they can do. So how about it? Who can you encourage today?
