Today, at this moment we are in busy activity in this household. Things are happening and we are getting there. A new day has begun and with it things that have to be done. And with it is the fact that we are working to a timetable. The reason is that I will be leaving in a little while to go away for a little time. But not long. But for the journey to take place there are things that need to be done. And with that being the case we are very busy.
So why do I share this with you? We all know what it is like to be ready for a journey. We all know what it is like to pack a case. It is all painful and yet it is something that has to be done if we are to get away on time. And when you set a time it is amazing how you can pull it all together. And knowing that we have to meet people at the other end of the journey makes you get ready on time to leave.
So what is the point here? The answer is very simple. We all know that this world is running out of steam. That soon it must come to an end. And in reading the Bible we can know that this is for certain. So what are we doing to be ready for that event? Will it really take place? I believe that the answer is yes. And if that be the case then we need to be ready today in our hearts. And that first step is an easy one to take. All it will take is a simple prayer to the one who made us and ask that He can come into our hearts and be one with us. Something for us all to think about.
