Within the Holy Bible is counsel in how to study the scriptures.
First of all we need a teacher. The divine teacher is found in John 14:26.
How can we get access to that teacher? Luke 11:1-13 will provide the answer.
What is the purpose of studying the scriptures? The answer is found in John 5:39.
Does the Holy Bible have a method of studying the scriptures? In Isaiah 28:10, 13 the Bible student will find the techniques of studying the scriptures.
Yes, the Book of books is a large book and yes, initially it can be viewed as time consuming to use the study tool in Isaiah 28:10, 13. As you get started, you will enjoy and appreciate the Book of books much more and also Jesus with all that he has done for each of us.
If it is of any interest some of Paul late ancestors on both sides of his family were gold miners in Australia, with a couple going over to New Zealand. It would have been their desire to obtain that beautiful treasure of gold that they considered to stake their claims and dig for the gold. Even though we do not know how much they were rewarded for their hard efforts, it is the principle that they knew their gold mine very well, they were not careless and did not physically suffer from any cave-ins.
With the Book of books, when the Bible student makes Jesus as their redeemer and saviour, they will want to know more about him. In fully leaning upon him they will be careful gold miners in seeking the beautiful treasures found in the Book of books.
Even so, each Bible student has preferences of which option of Bible they will use. Some use only the electronic option, others use a combination of electronic and hard copy (paper) others prefer the hard copy. Paul loves the hard copy. Ruth enjoys the combination of electronic and hard copy.
For those who may be interested the electronic resources which Ruth uses in searching the scriptures are the King James Version Bibles published in the centuries of 1600, 1700 and 1800. When choosing the available online Bibles, she is particular obtaining the Holy Bibles which only have the Old Testament and New Testament books. The resources which Ruth utilises are as follows:
Searchable non-case sensitive KJV included on a CD ROM available from the Ellen G. White Estate.
Searchable non-case sensitive KJV included on the mobile database Ellen G. White Estate website.
Searchable case sensitive KJV on private website of Dave Mielke.
Ruth came across the private website of Dave Mielke on 13 September 2016 in pursuit of an online case sensitive resource. When Ruth contacted Dave, he was so kind to provide on his website the option of Bible references with verses or Bible references only.
Please note the following:
When selecting the links they will open a new page.
The link on the Ellen G. White Estate will default to the home page. If you would like to study the King James Version, unselect all and select Bible, then the King James Version.
To search within the King James Version of the Bible on the Ellen G. White mobile database, select the button that looks like a cog which is the 2nd button on the right hand of the word study in the search field.
The link on the Dave Mielke is to the Bible section of his website. In that section has links to every book of the Old Testament and New Testament and also two links to direct to the search section within the Bible.
In the search section of the Bible section of the website by Dave Mielke, there are some incorrect amount of results for some exact phrases. As a guide to check the quantity of results is to use another Bible search, eg the King James Version on the Ellen G. White Estate.
